One of my favorite things about photography is the ability to build friendships and follow people through important stages of their lives.
These two are no exception. I’ve known Em for years, and when she and Bryant got engaged, I had the honor of being the one to follow them around Al Sabo land preserve with a camera and a celebratory bottle of Bell’s Wedding Ale.
Now their family is growing again, and that calls for more following them around the woods with a camera (no beer this time, because…. maternity photos.)
We chose the Kalamazoo Nature center for this March portrait session. Not only is it absolutely full of natural beauty, but it holds a pretty fond spot in the hearts of their whole family. They are people who set such an example of appreciating the outdoors with their little ones, and I’m such a fan.
Congratulations again you two!

Rachel - Downtown Grand Rapids maternity photos
Getting to see a couple again after their wedding day is always a treat, and it’s especially so when there’s a new addition to the family!
I’m so happy for all four of you, this little one will be so loved.
Kelsey and Billy - Weko beach maternity photos
This is the third time Billy and Kelsey have appeared on the blog, and I really can’t get enough of them. From their golden hour engagement, to their elegant and perfect rainy wedding, and now to the next step in their lives together: starting a family!
It would be hard to find people who take as much joy in each other as these two. Their little boy is already so loved, and will have some really amazing parents.
Congratulations Billy and Kelsey, I couldn’t be happier for you!
Kelsey and Jake - Kalamazoo maternity photos
Kelsey and Jake are pretty special for quite a few reasons. They have probably the coolest interests (From tennis coaching, to fire fighting, to beer brewing) but they’re also incredibly genuine and adored by so many people around them. We’re all so excited for you two to be starting a family of your own, and we can’t wait to meet your precious daughter!
